NotSoBot is an open-source Discord bot that can edit multimedia: videos, images, and audio. This is done via commands or NotSoBot tags which can contain scripts in various programming languages: Lua, Node.JS, or Python[1].
History[]
The first account was created on April 16, 2016.
The first account was unknowingly suspended sometime in 2018. The bot would be recreated on April 28, 2018.
In 2019, plans to rewrite the bot from Python to TypeScript were announced. In 2021, the bot would switch to the TypeScript version, with its history being documented on GitHub.
In 2022, some basic video commands were added, such as convert and mute. In February 2023, many editing commands would now support video.
