Controversy[]
Due to the number of effects, especially his combination effects he created such as Jocelyn Cook Major and G-Major 40, there are some effects (specifically G-Major Effects) that are unoriginal as what most people said. Therefore, he got criticised ever since TheKlaskyCsupoLogoEditor's instructional channel and trollmaster269's appearance in both 2023 and 2024, calling all of his combination effects stupid and unnecessary, and most logo editors sided with him instead of Ashton. This has happened to 6 other people including Mario Buitron and Matthew the Music Fan. Thus, in March 2024, the original effects became favoured across the whole community and hundreds of people had to use historically accurate instructions in almost a thousand effects instead of normalized ones. Nowadays, most of the unoriginal effects he made are uninterested unlike before, when they gained views perfectly. On the bright side, he still has his own fans even when he hasn't returned yet after almost half a decade.
