Diamond or Standard Diamond (DMA for short), is an effect created by Kyoobur9000 on New Year's Eve 2010.
The effect is primarily made with VEGAS Pro, but can also be created on Alight Motion, Premiere Pro, and Audacity with extra instructions.
Instructions[]
NOTE: The video editing software you use may vary depending on your needs and preferences on how to make this effect.
For other methods on how to make this effect, please see the Gallery below.

This is how your video timeline should look on Sony Vegas or Vegas Pro. If it doesn't look like this then try following the instructions again.
Video[]
First of all, click on the "Media Generators" tab and then go to "Test Pattern and Color Bars". Drag the preset called "Gradient" on to the timeline. Your timeline should look as shown in the right.
Once you've done that, click on the 3 lines at the top left of each track (as shown here) go to the "Compositing Mode" tab and then choose "Difference." Your video should look like this.
Audio[]
In Sony Vegas or Vegas Pro, Press the "U" key on your keyboard to detatch the video and audio from each other. We need to do this in order to make pitches on different tracks. Once you do the following, right click the audio and then click "Copy" on the right click menu. After that, make a new audio track and then paste; process must be repeated 2 more times.
Now apply the following pitches to each track:
- +13.0000
- +1.0000
- -11.0000
- -23.0000
Video[]
- Select any video. Once it is placed on the track, you have to duplicate it.
- For the top layer, go to "Effects" and select "Four-color Gradient". Adjust the settings below.
- Change the blue color to the cyan color. (0, 255, 255)
- Change the alpha to 100%.
- After the effects have been adjusted, go to "Blending & Opacity" and select "Difference".
It should blend in with the source.
Audio[]
The pitch can't be adjusted in Alight Motion. So we will need to use an audio editor. (Reccomended: UpTempo)
Whether your audio editor is multi-track or single1-track, and has a pitch shifter, adjust the pitches below.
- +13.0000
- +1.0000
- -11.0000
- -23.0000
